Sweden: Industrial production slows markedly in November
January 10, 2012
In November, industrial production rose a working-day adjusted 0.2% over the same month the year before, which was only a fraction of the 4.5% increase recorded in October. The reading primarily reflected a notable deceleration in manufacturing output. On a monthly basis, industrial production contracted a seasonally and working-day adjusted 1.9% over the previous month, which contrasted the 0.3% increase observed in October and confirmed the deceleration observed in annual figures. Moreover, the trend continues to point downwards, with annual average growth in industrial production falling from 10.3% in October to 9.2% in November.
