Slovenia: Inflation stabilizes in November
November 29, 2013
Consumer prices fell 0.1% over the previous month in November, undershooting October's flat reading. The decrease primarily reflects lower prices for communications, as well as for restaurants and hotels.
Annual headline inflation stabilized at the previous month's 1.3%, thus remaining at the lowest level since May. Meanwhile, annual HICP inflation (based on the harmonized index of consumer prices) inched up from 1.1% in October to 1.2% in November. Annual average HICP inflation declined from 2.2% in October to 2.1% in November.
FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast participants expect HICP inflation to average 2.2% this year, which is unchanged over the previous month's forecast. In 2014, the panel expects HICP inflation to slow to 1.8%, which is down 0.1 percentage points from last month's estimate.
