Slovenia: Industrial production rises in April
June 8, 2012
In April, industrial production rose a calendar adjusted 3.7% over the same month last year, following the mild 0.1% rise observed in March. According to the statistical office, industrial output improved due to rises in manufacturing production as well as in the mining and quarrying category. Seasonally adjusted data do not corroborate the improvement suggested by the annual figures, as industrial production rose a mild 0.1% over the previous month, following a robust 3.4% increase in March. Meanwhile, the trend continues to point downwards, with annual average growth in industrial production falling from 0.2% in March to 0.1% in April.
