Slovenia: Industrial production plunges in November
January 10, 2013
In November, industrial production declined a working day-adjusted 3.6% over the same month the previous year, which contrasted the 2.1% expansion observed in October. The print represents the sharpest drop in almost three years and mainly reflected a strong deterioration in mining and quarrying as well as in manufacturing output.
On a month-on-month seasonally-adjusted basis, industrial output fell 4.0% in November, which came in well below the 0.1% drop in November.
As a result of the sharp annual contraction, the trend now points downward, with annual average growth in industrial production falling from 0.8% in October to 0.4% in November.
