Slovenia: Industrial production falls in July
September 14, 2011
In July, industrial output contracted 0.5% over the same month the previous year, which contrasted June's 4.7% expansion (previously reported: +1.9% year-on-year). The July print represented the first decline since February 2010. Seasonally adjusted data corroborate the deterioration suggested by the annual figures, as industrial production contracted 2.2% over the previous month in July (June: -2.6% month-on-month). Owing to the weaker annual reading in July, annual average growth in industrial production continues to point downwards, decelerating from 7.4% in June to 6.8% in July.
