Russia: Consumer confidence deteriorates in Q3

The consumer confidence index published by the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) dropped to minus 6.0% in the third quarter, down from the minus 4.0% observed in the second quarter. The reading marked the first decline after recording five consecutive improvements. Respondents' to the survey showed a more pessimistic evaluation regarding both the general economy and their personal financial situation. On a positive note, prospects for large purchases increased by 1.0 percentage points compared to the previous quarter.
