Poland: Inflation accelerates in April

In April, consumer prices rose 0.6% over the previous month, which was an inch above the 0.5% increase observed in March. According to the Central Statistics Office (GUS), the rise was mainly influenced by higher prices in the dwelling, clothing and footwear as well as transport categories. As a result, annual headline inflation accelerated from 3.9% in March to 4.0% in April, thus remaining above the Central Bank
