Peru: Consumer confidence improves in August
September 4, 2011
In August, the consumer confidence indicator (INDICCA) published by APOYO Consultoria rose to 56 points from 54 points in July, driving the index further above the 50-point threshold that separates optimism from pessimism. The August survey showed that a majority of consumers displayed a more positive assessment about future economic prospects, although respondents showed a less upbeat assessment regarding their current economic situation, which, according to APOYO, is explained by the current moderation in economic growth.
