Netherlands: Business confidence declines further in November
November 30, 2011
Business sentiment continues to deteriorate. In November, the seasonally adjusted producer confidence indicator elaborated by Statistics Netherlands (CBS) dropped to minus 4.8 points, down from minus 3.2 points in October. The current reading represents the lowest level since January 2010, following a virtually uninterrupted decline since April. According to CBS, November's decline in business sentiment was ?attributed entirely to manufacturers' much more pessimistic view on future output, which deteriorated considerably. Manufacturers were somewhat more optimistic about their order positions. Opinions on stocks of finished products hardly changed?.
