Lithuania: Industrial production growth moderates in November
December 21, 2012
In November, industrial production expanded 8.9% over the same month the year before, which was below the 14.6% rise observed in October. The deterioration was mainly driven by contractions in electricity, gas and water as well as in water supply. Moreover, growth in mining and quarrying slowed in November.
On a monthly basis, industrial production fell 0.7% over the previous month in seasonally adjusted terms (October: -0.4% month-on-month). Despite the slower annual increase, the trend continues to point upwards, with annual average growth in industrial production rising from 3.3% in October to 3.9% in November.
