Hungary: Industrial production continues in October

According to data released by the statistical institute (KSH) on 13 December, industrial output expanded a working-day adjusted 6.0% over the same month last year in October. The reading overshot the 3.1% expansion observed in September.
On a monthly basis, industrial production fell a seasonally and working-day adjusted 0.5% in October, which contrasted the 1.8% expansion recorded in the previous month. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production edged up from minus 0.8% in September to a flat reading in October.
FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect industrial production to grow 1.0% this year, which is down 0.4 percentage points from last month's projection. For next year, the panel expects industrial output to expand a stronger 3.7%, which is up 0.4 percentage points from last month's estimate.
