France: Industrial production jumps in November

In November, industrial output jumped 1.1% in seasonally adjusted terms over the previous month, which was well above the revised 0.1% increase tallied in October (previously reported: 0.0% month-on-month). The reading overshot market expectations, which had industrial output expanding 0.2%. On an annual basis, however, industrial activity rose a weak 0.9%, which was below the 1.7% increase observed in October. The trend pointed down for the third consecutive month, with annual average industrial output growth dropping from 3.3% in October to 3.0% in November, the lowest level since September 2010.
