Denmark: Inflation moderates further in December

In December, consumer prices fell 0.31% over the previous month, which followed the 0.08% decrease seen in November. According to Statistics Denmark (DST), the reading reflected lower prices for transport and housing.
Annual headline inflation fell from 2.3% in November to 2.0% in December, the lowest level since June 2010. In addition, annual average inflation inched down to 2.4% from 2.5% in November. Meanwhile, HICP inflation (based on the harmonized index of consumer prices) fell to 1.9% from 2.2% in November.
