Denmark: Inflation inches up in June

In June, consumer prices fell 0.2 over the previous month, which followed the flat reading tallied in May. According to Statistics Denmark (DST), the reading reflected lower prices for clothing and footwear as well as for housing. In spite of the monthly drop, annual headline inflation inched up to 2.2% from 2.1% in May. Annual average inflation however, remained unchanged at May's 2.6%. Meanwhile, HICP inflation (based on the harmonized index of consumer prices) also inched up to 2.2% from 2.1% in May. The Central Bank expects HICP inflation to reach 2.5% this year and 1.8% the next
