Colombia: Consumer confidence continues to fall in October
November 10, 2011
In October, the Fedesarrollo index of consumer sentiment fell to 20.6 points (September: 23.1 points), which represented the fourth consecutive monthly decline. The October outturn was mixed, as the component reflecting the current economic situation of households declined sharply from 23.5 points in September to 13.3 points in October, while the consumer expectations sub-index rose by 2.7 points to settle at 25.5 points. That said, despite the monthly decline, the consumer confidence index remains well above the 0-point threshold that separates pessimism from optimism.
