Colombia: Consumer confidence continues to deteriorate in September
October 10, 2011
In September, the Fedesarrollo index of consumer sentiment fell to 23.1 points (August: 24.9 points), which represented the third consecutive monthly decline. The September outturn was mixed, as the component reflecting consumer expectations declined sharply from 29.8 points in August to 22.8 points in September, while the economic situation of households sub-index jumped by 6.0 points to settle at 23.5 points. That said, the consumer confidence index remains well above the 0-point threshold that separates pessimism from optimism.
