Bulgaria: Inflation moderates in October
November 13, 2012
In October, consumer prices added 0.3% over the previous month, which was below the 1.1% increase recorded in September. The monthly reading reflected higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages as well as for clothing and footwear, which completely offset lower prices for transport, amid falling oil prices. As a result of the monthly increase, annual inflation eased from 4.9% in September to 4.4% in October. Annual average inflation, however, inched up from 2.7% in September to 2.8%.
