Bulgaria: Industrial output eases in October
December 7, 2011
In October, industrial production expanded 2.4% in working-day adjusted terms over the same month last year. The result came in above the revised 1.4% increase recorded in September, as a steep acceleration in the mining sector offset weaker growth in manufacturing production. A month-on-month comparison points to weaker growth than implied by the annual figures, as industrial production expanded just 0.4% over the previous month in seasonally adjusted terms, which was below the 1.0% contraction in September. Annual average variation in industrial production continues to decelerate, expanding 5.9% in October, which was below the 6.1% rise in September.
