Australia: Business sentiment steady in November

In November, the business sentiment index published by the National Australian Bank (NAB) was unchanged at the 2 points level recorded in October. With the November reading, business confidence remains above the 0-point threshold, which separates positive from negative opinion, for a second consecutive month. Confidence dropped the most in the construction sector, which fell 14 points over the previous month, and in the mining sector (-10 points). The retail sector, on the other hand, is the one showing the highest confidence level (+6 points), followed by finance/business/property (+4 points), whereas transport and utilities is the lowest ranking sector (-1 points).
