Exchange Rate in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bosnia and Herzegovina - Exchange RateAfter the economy grew at a strong pace in Q2, available data indicates that momentum eased somewhat in the third quarter, but likely remained solid: Both industrial output and merchandise exports expanded at healthy, albeit softer rates in July–September compared to the previous quarter. Turning to Q4, sharply rising consumer prices and a continuation of pandemic-related restrictions amid a general rise in daily Covid-19 cases through October and into November will have likely weighed on private consumption. In politics, recent threats by Milorad Dodik—the Serb member of the Bosnian presidency—to pull Republika Srpska out of key state institutions have prompted a strong response from the international community. In early November, the UN voted to extend its peacekeeping mission in the country, while the U.S. and EU have put their weight behind efforts to reinforce the Dayton peace agreement.
