Vietnam: November inflation inches up

November 28, 2012

In November, consumer prices rose 0.47% over the previous month, which was nearly half the 0.85% increase recorded in October. The moderation stemmed from lower prices for food and communication.

Despite the lower monthly print, annual inflation inched up from 7.0% in October to 7.1% in November, the highest rate in six months. However, annual average inflation fell from 11.0% in October to 10.0% in November, the lowest level since February 2011.
