Vietnam: Growth in industrial production accelerates in September
October 1, 2014
In September, industrial output rose 8.6% over the same month last year, which was up from the 6.7% rise recorded in the previous month and marked the fastest increase in seven months. September’s result came on the back of an improvement in mining and quarrying as well as in manufacturing.
Industrial production in September fell 0.40% over the previous month, which contrasted the 1.90% increase recorded in August. The figure marked the fastest decrease in seven months. Annual average growth in industrial production rose from 6.5% in August to 6.7% in September, and now sits at the highest level since January 2013.
