United Kingdom: British pound stable versus the dollar and euro

On 30 March, the U.S. dollar (USD) traded at 1.60 per British pound (GBP), which was virtually unchanged over the 1.59 USD per GBP recorded at the end of the previous month. At the current level, the pound is trading roughly at the same level than last year, losing only an accumulated 0.12%. Meanwhile, the euro (EUR) traded at 1.20 per GBP by the end of March, which was also virtually unchanged over the 1.19 EUR per GBP observed at the end of February. Despite the broadly stable print, the pound is now trading 6.04% higher than last year.
