Ukraine: Inflation rises in June

In June, consumer prices rose 1.6% from the previous month, which was above May’s 1.3% increase. June’s reading was primarily driven by higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.

Inflation rose from May’s 13.5% to 15.6% in June, a three-month high. Annual average inflation followed suit, rising from 11.3% in May to 12.0% in June.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect inflation to end 2017 at 9.8%, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast. For 2018, the panel sees inflation easing to 7.4%.
