Ukraine: Consumer prices drop in June

In June, consumer prices were flat over the previous month, which was below the 0.1% increase observed in May. The monthly print mainly reflected how higher prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco offset lower food prices
On a year-on-year basis, consumer prices dropped 0.1% in June, which follows a 0.4% decline in May and represents the highest level recorded since October last year. Meanwhile, annual average inflation inched up to minus 0.3% in June.
FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panellists expect inflation to reach 5.9% in 2013, which is up 0.1 percentage points from last month's forecast. For next year, the panel sees inflation moderating to 6.0%.
