Turkey: Business sentiment improves in August
The business confidence index recovered in August, rising to 102.5 from 98.3 in July. August’s more upbeat sentiment was broad-based across the sub-indices. Businesses were less pessimistic about export orders, production and employment for the next three months.
Meanwhile, inflation expectations eased for the third month running in August. That said, inflation expectations remained elevated, likely influenced by the ongoing weakness in the lira.
