Spain: Unemployment rate rises slightly in Q3
Latest reading: The unemployment rate rose to 10.5% in Q3 from 10.3% in Q3. The market had expected a slight decline, but still marked the second-lowest reading since Q1 2008. Meanwhile, the number of employed people rose by 118,400 to reach a new record of 22.4 million.
The number of unemployed increased by 61,100 people from Q1, and the number of people in the labor force rose by 178,500 to a total of 25.0 million.
