Slovenia: Industrial production slows in November

In November, industrial production expanded 3.0% over the same month last year. The print followed the 3.9% increase tallied in October. According to the statistical office, November’s reading reflected a sharp drop in the mining sector and a deceleration in manufacturing. Conversely, the drop in output of electricity, gas and water supply eased in November.

On a monthly basis, industrial output fell a seasonally-adjusted 0.8% in November, which contrasted the strong 2.4% increase recorded in the previous month. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production rose from 1.8% in October to 2.0% in November.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect industrial production to expand 2.3% in 2015, which is down 0.1 percentage points over last month’s Consensus. For 2016, the panel sees industrial output growth at 2.6%.
