Slovenia: Industrial production rebounds in October
December 10, 2012
In October, industrial output expanded a working-day adjusted 2.1% over the same month the previous year. The figure contrasted the revised 0.7% contraction recorded in September (previously reported: -0.2% year-on-year). According to the Statistics Office of Slovenia, the monthly jump was mainly the result of a rebound in manufacturing output.
On a month-on-month comparison, industrial production dropped a seasonally adjusted 0.1% in October, which, nevertheless, was an improvement over the 2.3% decline recorded in September.
As a result of the strong annual expansion, the trend stabilized, with annual average growth in industrial production inching up from 0.6% in September to 0.8% in October.
