Slovenia: Industrial production improves markedly in November

In November, industrial production expanded 0.6% over the same month of the previous year, which contrasted the 0.7% decrease recorded in October and marked the first positive rate since February 2013. According to the statistical office, the November figure mainly reflects a rebound in both manufacturing output as well as in mining and quarrying.
On a monthly basis, industrial output increased a seasonally-adjusted 2.6% in November, which contrasted the 0.3% drop tallied in the previous month and represented the fastest acceleration since February 2013. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production edged up from minus 1.7% in October to minus 1.3% in November.
FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect industrial production to expand 1.6% this year, which is up 0.3 percentage points from last month's Consensus. For 2015, the panel sees industrial output growth accelerating to 2.4%.
