Slovenia: Industrial output growth healthy in April
June 9, 2017
Industrial production expanded 7.8% from the same month a year earlier in April, coming in below March’s impressive 9.8% expansion. According to the Statistical Office, April’s result was due to a slight deceleration in manufacturing output and a moderation in the ongoing, sharp expansion in mining and quarrying production. Moreover, electricity, gas and water supply output rebounded with a modest increase from a month earlier.
Industrial output fell by a seasonally-adjusted 0.5% month-on-month in April, contrasting March’s 1.4% expansion. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production edged up 0.2 percentage points, to 7.6% in April from 7.4% a month earlier.
