Slovenia: Industrial output growth falls for the third consecutive month
August 10, 2017
Industrial production in June expanded a solid 6.7% over the same month of the previous year, which marked a slowdown from the 7.4% increase recorded in May. Data released by the Statistical Office revealed that the decline was broad-based: Mining and quarrying was hit the hardest, while the fall in output growth was more moderate in the manufacturing, and electricity, gas, and steam supply sectors.
Industrial output fell by a seasonally-adjusted 0.8% month-on-month in June, contrasting May’s 1.6% increase. Despite this, annual average growth in industrial production remained at the previous month’s 7.8%.
