Slovenia: Growth in industrial output slows but remains strong in March
May 8, 2015
In March, industrial production expanded by 4.7% over the same month last year. The print marked a slowdown from the 5.8% increase tallied in February. According to the statistical office, March’s reading reflected a deceleration in manufacturing and a contraction in electricity, gas and water supply. In contrast, mining and quarrying registered a double-digit expansion.
On a monthly basis, industrial output increased a seasonally-adjusted 0.6% in March, which contrasted the 0.2% decrease recorded in the previous month and marked a three-month low.
