Slovenia: Growth in industrial output deteriorates in March
April 8, 2016
In March, industrial production expanded 4.4% over the same month last year. The reading marked a deceleration from the revised 6.3% increase tallied in February (previously reported: +6.5% year-on-year). According to the statistical office, March’s print reflected a significant increase in manufacturing production, which more than outweighed drops in both mining output and electricity, gas and steam supply.
On a monthly basis, industrial output decreased a seasonally-adjusted 0.7% in March, which contrasted the 0.2% increase recorded in the previous month. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production was 5.1%, down slightly from February’s 5.2% increase.
