Slovenia: Growth in industrial output decelerates in June

In June, industrial production expanded by 3.1% over the same month last year. The print marked a deceleration from the 5.5% increase tallied in May and the weakest growth in six months. According to the statistical office, June’s reading reflected slower increases in the manufacturing and mining sectors. Meanwhile, electricity, gas and water supply contracted for the fourth straight month.
On a monthly basis, industrial output decreased a seasonally-adjusted 0.7% in June, which contrasted the 0.9% increase recorded in the previous month. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production inched up from 3.4% in May to 3.5% in June.
