Slovenia: Growth in industrial output decelerates in July

In July, industrial production expanded by 3.3% over the same month last year. The print marked a deceleration from the 3.8% increase tallied in June and the weakest growth in seven months. According to the statistical office, July’s reading reflected slower increases in the manufacturing sector and a contraction in electricity, gas and water supply. In contrast, the mining industry registered higher growth.
On a monthly basis, industrial output increased a seasonally-adjusted 0.9% in July, which contrasted the 0.6% decrease recorded in the previous month. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production decreased from 3.8% in June to 3.6% in July.
