Slovenia: Growth in industrial output accelerates in November

In November, industrial production expanded by 4.1% over the same month last year. The print marked an acceleration from the 3.3% increase tallied in October. According to the statistical office, November’s reading reflected a significant rebound in the mining industry as well as solid growth in manufacturing output.

On a monthly basis, industrial output increased a seasonally-adjusted 0.3% in November, which contrasted the 0.2% decrease recorded in the previous month. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production increased from 4.3% in October to 4.5% in November, which marks the highest reading in more than four years.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect industrial production to expand 3.6% in 2016, which is unchanged over last month’s Consensus. For 2017, the panel sees industrial output growth at 3.7%.
