Serbia: Inflation remains constant in November

Consumer prices in Serbia fell 0.1% in November from the previous month, contrasting the 0.7% increase registered in October. According to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (SORS), the fall was driven by a decrease in the price of food and beverages, tobacco, communication and restaurants and hotels.

Inflation remained constant at 1.5% in November, the highest reading in ten months. Annual average inflation in November mirrored October’s 1.1% figure.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect that inflation will average 1.3% in 2016, which is down 0.2 percentage points from last month’s forecast. For 2017, the panel sees inflation at 2.5%, which is also down 0.2 percentage points from last month’s estimate.
