Serbia: Industrial production improves slightly in September
October 31, 2016
In September, industrial production expanded 5.3% from the same month of last year, coming in above the 5.1% increase seen in August. The figure reflected an acceleration in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, while growth in mining and quarrying and manufacturing decelerated.
On a monthly basis, industrial production slowed from a 0.5% increase in August to a 0.4% rise in September, which marked the slowest increase in four months. Finally, annual average growth in industrial production decreased from 7.4% in August to 6.4% in September, the lowest reading since October 2015.
