February 2, 2017
In December, Serbian industrial production expanded 3.9% from the same month of the previous year, coming in well above the 1.3% increase seen in November. The figure mainly reflected an acceleration in the manufacturing sector, while the mining and energy sectors contracted in December.
On a monthly basis, industrial production increased 1.2% in seasonally-adjusted terms, contrasting November’s 0.2% decrease. The figure was the highest in five months. Finally, annual average growth in industrial production decreased from 5.4% in November to 4.8% in December.
