Serbia: Industrial production improves in December

February 2, 2017

In December, Serbian industrial production expanded 3.9% from the same month of the previous year, coming in well above the 1.3% increase seen in November. The figure mainly reflected an acceleration in the manufacturing sector, while the mining and energy sectors contracted in December.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect industrial production to expand 5.2% in 2017, which is down 0.4 percentage points from last month’s estimate. In 2018, the panel also sees industrial production growth at 5.2%.
