Serbia: GDP growth ramps up in Q3

According to a flash estimate released on 31 October by the Statistical Institute, GDP grew 2.1% in Q3 compared to the same quarter last year. The print was higher than the 1.3% growth recorded in Q2.

More comprehensive data will be released on 30 November.

The National Bank of Serbia expects the economy to expand 3.5% in 2018. FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists take a slightly more muted view and expect the economy to record 3.0% growth in 2018, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast. For 2019, the panel sees GDP also increasing 3.0%.
