Russia: GDP marks slowest growth in almost three years
November 12, 2012
According to the flash estimate published by the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) on 13 November, GDP grew 2.9% in the third quarter over the same period last year. The result represents a moderation compared to the 4.0% expansion recorded in Q2 and marked, in fact, the slowest expansion since the fourth quarter of 2009. That said, the reading came virtually in line with market expectations of a 2.8% increase.
