Consumer prices declined 0.2% month-on-month in July, matching June’s print. July’s drop reflected lower prices for food and non-food goods.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists see inflation averaging 3.9% in 2019, which is up 0.1 percentage points from last month’s forecast. For 2020, panelists see inflation averaging 3.3%.
