January 13, 2017

Consumer prices inched up 0.2% in December from the previous month, up from November’s 0.1% rise. December’s figure reflects small increases in the price of food and non-food items, as well as in the price of services.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists see consumer prices rising 1.7% on average in 2017, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast. For 2018, panelists expect average inflation of 2.7%.
