Portugal: Industrial production inches up in June
July 28, 2017
In June, industrial production rose 0.6% year-on-year, down from May’s 2.4% rise. June’s figure was underpinned by an expansion in the electricity, gas and water sector, while output in the manufacturing sector virtually stagnated and the mining sector contracted compared to the same period of the prior year.
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, in June industrial production rose 0.5%, up from May’s 0.4%. Annual average growth in industrial production was 1.5% in June, mirroring May’s figure.
