April 28, 2017
In March, Portuguese industrial production increased 1.9% year-on-year, down marginally from February’s revised 2.0% increase (previously reported: +2.1% yoy). March’s minor dip was caused by a slowdown in the electricity, gas and water sector, while the manufacturing sector picked up the pace from February.
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, in March industrial production decreased 0.6%, up from the 0.9% decline observed in February. Annual average growth in industrial production was 1.4% in March, up from 1.2% in February.
