Poland: Decrease in annual consumer prices softens in November

According to a preliminary estimate released by the Central Statistical Office (GUS) on 30 November, in November, consumer prices were stable over the previous month, which followed October’s 0.1% increase. The reading undershot market expectations of a 0.1% rise. Consumer prices dropped 0.5% annually in November, which was above the 0.7% drop tallied in October and marked the softest fall since September 2014. More detailed data will be released on 16 December.FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect inflation to average 0.7% in 2015, which is down 0.1 percentage points from last month’s projection. For 2016, the panel expects inflation to accelerate to 1.5%, which is unchanged from last month’s projection.
