Poland: Industrial output jumps in May

In May, industrial production in Poland rebounded and grew 9.1% from the same month last year, which marked a substantial improvement on April’s 0.6% slip. All components grew strongly in May, with the manufacturing component and the energy component recording the highest increases.

Annual average industrial output was 3.9% in May, above 3.4% in April.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect industrial production growth to increase 4.6% in 2017, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast. For 2018, the panel expects industrial production growth to remain stable at 4.6%.
