Poland: Industrial output growth slows in June

In June, industrial production grew 4.5% from the same month last year, which marked a considerable deceleration from May’s 9.2% expansion. Manufacturing led June’s gains, while mining and quarrying was the only sector to record a contraction in the month.

Annual average industrial output was 3.8% in June, slipping slightly from May’s 3.9%.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect industrial production growth to increase 5.2% in 2017, which is unchanged from last month’s forecast. For 2018, the panel expects industrial production growth to remain stable at 4.8%.
