Poland: Industrial output grows at multi-year record speed in March

In March, industrial production expanded 11.1% over the same month last year, which was well above the 1.2% increase recorded in February and the fastest expansion since December 2010. The manufacturing sub-component recorded solid double-digit growth and lifted the overall result, while the other sub-components were broadly stable.

Annual average industrial output was 4.0% in March, above 3.1% in February.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panelists expect industrial production to increase 4.5% in 2017, which is up 0.7 percentage points from last month’s forecast. For 2018, the panel expects growth in industrial production to be 4.6%.
